Logistics

Our Standard Logistics Program has three phases: 1) modeling, benchmarking and determining freight programs, 2) achieving program results through negotiation and 3) determining program providers and beginning implementation. Through this program DDI is paid on a contingency.
There are also non-contingency options available, such as management fees, management fees with incentives, carrier paid options, and project/a la carte fees, etc. We encourage our clients to be open about discussing what is best for their company.
DDI's Standard Logistics Program
Initial Presentation: 20-40 minutes
Phase I: 2 to 3 weeks for DDI and 30-60 minute presentation
Phase II: 4 to 6 weeks for DDI and 60 minute presentation
Phase III: 2 to 3 weeks for DDI and 60-120 minute meeting
DDI begins this process by presenting our services, reviewing the company's current procedures, requirements and operational needs as well as savings goals expected with the program.
Phase I involves the analysis and review of current shipping patterns, rates and needs. DDI discusses the company's business needs and considerations with the client such as: location(s) specific needs, product characteristics, handling requirements, commitments to customers, impact on margins, lead time, penalties at risk, supply chain demands, etc. The goal in this phase is to determine value that DDI can bring and how it will help the company achieve their goals. The results are then presented to the company.
At Phase II, DDI uses the information developed through Phase I and begins negotiations. After reviewing all the proposals, provider options are created and presented. The client decides which mix of providers would provide the best fit for their needs.
Once program providers are selected, Phase III puts this customized transportation program into action. A dedicated DDI account representative continuously monitors and maintains the program and provides services/tools while the company remains in control of day-to-day operations.
